About the Business Portal
The Missouri Business Portal is a joint effort of the following officials and State agencies:

  • University of Missouri - Small Business Development Centers

About the Web Site
The Missouri Business Portal is designed to be the one central location for you to conduct registration and filings for your business throughout its lifecycle. This starts with the first seed of an idea and follows through various stages until you're ready to exit your business.

Who the Web Site is for
The web site is for all entrepreneurs wishing to do business in Missouri. It is designed to be used by the first time small business owner as well as the larger, established enterprise. The portal provides access to research and support, as well as required registrations, licensing and filings.

What Can Be Done On The Web Site
Utilizing the Missouri Business Portal, you can:

  • Research - Find out what's involved in starting and running your own business. Take advantage of counseling, market and statistical research.
  • Register your enterprise online. Take advantage of the Business Registration Checklist posted on the web site. 
  • Maintain - Learn what the ongoing requirements are for a business, such as annual filings, licenses, and permits. Make required filings, such as sales tax and annual reports.
  • Resources - Find out what support may be available from state and federal sources.
  • Permits Lookup
    Look up State Permits and Licenses required for doing business in Missouri.
  • City/County Lookup
    Look up your city, county, and health department to determine what, if any, local requirements there are.
  • Sales/Use Tax Bond Calculator
    Use the sales tax bond calculator to compute the amount of your sales tax bond.
