A four-tier program has been established at the tiny little burg of Green Ridge, Missouri. Athletics, child-care, senior services, and small business incubation are being offered in a fashion weaving these aspects of 21st century rural life together. They are working together to revitalize a community that has languished for nearly 80 years. The focal point is a new 10,000 SF complex housing these functions. The building and grounds are now complete and startup of child-care services has been accomplished. Very shortly elderly services will be placed and a link sought to create grandparent/grandchild relationships where none now possibly exist at home. Our Small Business Incubation program will be started up after the first of the year. For the aspiring entrepreneur, this provides a roof, an answering service, and a professional image while the owner dedicates personal resource to actually running the business and establishing startup. This low overhead approach is designed to improve the odds for success to the businessman's favor. A revitalized business climate, good jobs, and rebuilt family structure are anticipated to complete the circle for change we seek for our community

Funds provided by the Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP) have sparked construction in the area. Green Ridge is now being recognized as a community on the move - one that not only tends to the needs of people who need help right now but also is looking to the future by cultivating new jobs and setting people on their feet again. Businesses and qualified individuals have found the 70% tax credits to be quite a bonus at tax time. If you have questions about the program or want to secure 70% tax credits, contact the Project Coordinator Marvin Eaves. eavesm@iland.net or phone (660) 527-3401.
